Nettle is the most breathable natural fiber, meaning the fabric deserves to get close to the skin even for seconds! With the washes, the fabric softens and gets its final shape. Knokkon’s goal is to keep the carbon footprint of its products as small as possible. The materials are ecological and sourced as close as possible. The nettle (urtica dioica) used in the fabric is ecologically and ethically cultivated in Germany. The fibres have been removed mechanically, without water, using an innovative method. The cotton used as a fabric binder is produced in Turkey ethically and ecologically. The yarns used in the fabric are spun in Germany and woven into fabric and sewed into cloth napkins in Finland.

Nettle, cotton fabric is an ecological choice also because no plant protection products or pesticides are used in the cultivation of the materials. Nettle needs only natural rain to grow, which also saves groundwater Thank you for choosing an ethically produced ecological product!
